The Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) facilitates opportunities for students to network and learn more about careers in our fields of college student affairs, conflict resolution, multidisciplinary studies, and family therapy. One such avenue is Career Café.
On June 11, Career Café featured Charles Rumbaugh, J.D., C.P.C.M. as the featured guest. Rumbaugh is an attorney in California practicing in commercial/international government contract law with an emphasis in the private conflict resolution area as an arbitrator, mediator, private judge, and speaker. He has presented advanced and basic training in areas such as negotiation, arbitration, and mediation in Latin America, Canada, Asia, and throughout the US.
Rumbaugh shared his career path and offered tips for those considering a career in commercial and international government contract negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.
Started by SHSS in 1999, Career Café features practitioners, scholars, and others who come and share their career paths, experiences, and tips in an informal setting. The Café offers wonderful opportunities to meet the people who are doing the cutting edge work in our fields and gain invaluable insight into the strategic moves that can help enhance an existing career or launch a new career.
