SHSS to host Disarming Domestic Violence Conference - Wednesday, June 17

The Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Services (SHSS), will present a conference entitled, Disarming Domestic Violence, on June 17 to address the use of guns during domestic violence episodes. It will be held on the second floor of the Alvin Sherman Library from 5:00-8:00pm.

The conference, being presented in collaboration with the International Action Network on Small Arms, will feature speakers from the legal, criminal justice, business, and social service communities. The event is also sponsored by the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, the SHSS SGA, the American Association of University Women (Davie and Nova branch), and SHSS’ African Working Group.
