The Culture and Conflict Group and the Department of Conflict Analysis and Resolution (DCAR) in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences (SHSS) is hosting a presentation by Indira Rampersad, Ph.D., entitled “Contemporary Issues in US/Cuba Relations,” on Oct. 8 at 4 p.m. in room #2058 of the Maltz Building.
Rampersad, a native of Trinidad, received an MS in International Relations and a Ph.D. in Political Science. She was awarded two Fulbright scholarships for study in the U.S., one at Southern Illinois University and the other at the University of Florida where she completed her doctoral degree. Her doctoral dissertation focused on American foreign policy as related to Cuba. She writes a regular political column for the Trinidad Sunday Guardian and the New York based Guyana Journal. She is currently teaching Political Science and International Relations at the University of the West Indies.
